S8 Vantage not recording data?

Post by EricT » Tue Jul 01, 2008 12:00 pm

I've been on my machine for about 5 days now, and for the first couple of days, I could check my Eficacy Results in the morning. However, for the last 3 nights, the results just say "NO DATA". Does anyone know what the problem is?

You need to read the data before noon.

Yup, what Hobbs said. These xPAPs have an internal, 24 hour, noon to noon clock. At noon the roll the previous night's data over into the total averages and the individual night's data is lost via the LCD screen altho the data card holds 4-5 nights of individual nights' data.

I have a resmed auto vantage and have been checking the dat every morning since I started using it. BUT a couple of weeks ago it suddenly started malfunctioning and showing NO DATA, and it now produces no data at all, daily weekly usage/efficacy NOTHING. Except it still shows monthly data because it is less than a month since the data thing stopped working. Actually, for all I know it is not running in auto mode but in CPAP mode, or maybe it is running at settling pressure (5 cm.) and not adjusting.
The DME says they spoke to Resmed, and they could not tell them the answer, so tomorrow I am bringing my machine to my office and they will pick it up and give me a loaner and send it back to Resmed. The loaner will become permanent if the original cannot be fixed, so I hope they send me a new one.
But maybe there is a sudden computer virus zapping Resmed data!

Thanks for the responses. I am checking it as soon as I wake up, and NO DATA for day, week, month, and year. I suppose I could talk to the DME about it, but technically I am not supposed to be able to access this stuff in the first place.

Any other ideas?

Technically, there are two Menus for Patients w/the Resmeds. The Detailed or Advanced Patient menu is left to the discretion of the ordering doctor but there's nothing wrong w/the patient gaining access to it. I wouldn't worry about it. Unless your local DME is very experienced w/the Resmeds they probably aren't even aware of that. I just wouldn't worry about it and would take your Resmed in to the DME to get the matter cleared up and get it exchanged if necessary.
