Remstar Buzzes late at night and wakes me up.
Hello All,
Love this new RemStar M Series A-flex machine. But it has a specific problem. It does wake me up at night after it has been running for several hours. The motor (compressor) whatever it might be inside the little device begins to hum.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Really a shame because I like the device a lot, but if it wakes me up, it is pointless.

How long have you had the Remstar M Auto with A-Flex???
If it is under 30 days, the will Repair it or Replace it if they find anything wrong with it, if it's more than 30 days, your going to (more than likely) get a refurbished one...
Mine was under 2 months old and I sent it to my online place of purchase to be checked out, they sent it to Respironics and they gave me a refurbished one, go figure! There was nothing wrong with my machine I sent in for repair so I had to fight (tooth & nail) to get a brand new one, that was over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't recieved it!
So, if you machine is indeed under 30 days old, contact the person you bought it from and ask them to replace it with a brand new one or try to get a refund! Then go elsewhere to purchase another one and be sure and get a copy of your prescription as well...

Is it a "hum", "buzz" or an "alarm" that you're hearing?
If it starts abruptly, it might be an alarm for the following setting:
Mask Alert=On/Off (beeps on large leak, mask removal).
If, in fact, that's what you're hearing, there's nothing wrong with your machine and the setting can be turned off in the setup menu.

Thanks all for comments. It is not an alarm. It is definitely the motor/pump thingy that is making the noise. It happens after it has been running for several hours. It never stops throughout the night regardless of my status, asleep, awake or whatever.
I can take the machine and hold it near my ear and I hear the motor buzzing.

Then you want to bring it to the attention of the place you got it from ASAP. If it's a local brick & mortar DME shop, they may (should) provide you with a loaner while your machine is being sent in to the factory (if it needs to be).

Did you try turning the C-flex OFF? Don't know why you would use C-flex when you have A-flex but try it w/o either.
Even if that is the problem I would turn it in for repair.

I have an M series, non A-flex, with the C-flex turned off and it does the same thing!!!!
It started not too long ago and sometimes it gets so loud it wakes me up. It's over three years old so I know it's not under warranty. I have another one in the hold though in case this one goes out. But I don't use it because it whines.
So, you're not crazy!
