another first week story

Post by sleepycomic » Sat Jun 21, 2008 10:40 am

I have been on cpap for 1 week ! I know its working but are my #s still too high? i feel better when i wake up..but i still crash later in the day...the crashing does have a different feeling than before. seems more "normal" tired than just a continuation of exhaustion mixed with anxiety and fatigue. well here are my #s i appreciate any input on my progress and if i need to make any changes. You are doing well for one week. Your AI # looks great. The HI looks a little high, but it has been said that the resmed machines report a higher HI number than other machines. I'd say give it a little more time for your body to recover before you think about tweaking. Ideally you want to get that AHI below 5.0 to be considered treated OSA. If you run consistently over 5 after a few weeks you may consider fine tuning your therapy at that point. Great job on your first week though!
