leak rate for a M Series Auto A-Flex

Post by smockb » Thu May 15, 2008 11:20 am

Hi, been trucking along now for almost 2 years on my apap, I have been running about 6mo between masks. I feel the seal starts to loose its holding power at this time. My wife says she can hear my mask start to make noises towards the middle of the night. My questions are : is 6mo about the span for the seal ?

I checked the numbers last night and it said Leak rate was 7day avg was 52ls and 30 day average was 53ls, Are these high? I can always tell something is going on with the mask just about the 6mo point because I start feeling like crap and have the morning sleepyness. thanks for your help, Blair

The acceptable leak rate will be dependant on the mask and the air pressure you run it at. The leak rate will be in the owners manual of the mask. It's a chart and you should be able to see what it is supposed to be.
