Yes indeed, setting my APAP to my Sleep Study Titration setting did the trick! Last night, I set my APAP to CPAP mode, with a pressure of 10cm, and it worked! I averaged .3 AHI over 3 hours of sleep. Success!
I realize that APAP is not as good as straight CPAP for curing Sleep Apnea. APAP is only good for occasional Titration.
Thanks everyone for your input!

Well I am happy for the AHI you achieved, but don't do like the crew of the USS Lincoln and put up a "Mission Accomplished" banner yet. Three hours of sleep is just not enough to be healthy. Now you need to go down another path that many of us have traveled and to some extent are still traveling. You have to work on increasing the number of hours you are sleeping. .

Yes, I am crossing my fingers that my low AHI #s are not a fluke but will be consistent. I guess Time will reveal all things. I do expect my sleep duration to increase as I get more and more comfortable with CPAP.rooster wrote:Well I am happy for the AHI you achieved, but don't do like the crew of the USS Lincoln and put up a "Mission Accomplished" banner yet. I agree with rooster... 'mission accomplished' is probably not... But then it does seem like SleepIsHell does seem as if he's made significant progress...
After reading more and more on the subject of CPAP and getting used to it, etc... leads me to conclude that titration in a clinic is not always the be all end all of things either... I guess that is at least in part why they sometimes prescribe APAP...
Apparently one of the things that can throw off titration is REM rebound... that being that a new CPAP user can have more REM sleep and then they might have more apnea events during initial use of CPAP because they enter into REM more often then they would if they had been getting REM on a regular basis... REM apparently increases apneas and may lead to titration that suggests high pressures then one might need down the road...
