?? about bipap

Post by tnmom » Fri May 09, 2008 5:52 pm

I picked up my new respironics m series bipap today (I had the m series c-flex previously). I have tried to search for links explaining the machine--- help?

Also, the dr said he was going to up the pressure to 10 (from 9) with a minimum of 6, but when I tried it when I got it home, it was fluctuating between 6 and 8. does it automatically adjust itself during the night? not programmed correctly?

What you may be seeing is there are two (bi) pressures. 1 for Inhale (IPAP) and 1 for Exhale (EPAP). So if you watch the LCD while you wear the mask - you will see it fluctuating between the two. Tho the I or E will be displayed also.

Did they have a manual to give you?
