Well this may be slightly off topic, but I must vent! I ordered a new mattress and beautiful sleigh bed from Macy's. I was hoping I would wake up less with a better mattress.
They were supposed to deliver today between 5 and 7 pm. I gave my mattress and box springs to my nephew for his guest room in his new house. They came and picked it up this morning.
Yep, you guessed it..........the truck broke down . They will deliver it tomorrow! I asked them if they were gonna come over and drag my oxygen concentrator downstairs for me in the basement with my bipap for the guest bedroom. I begged them to find another driver and truck. I asked if it was a stick shift and offered to drive it myself! I said I was old and disabled and please take pity on me. (not quite true but close!)
I will not forget this. Maybe I can get some kind of compensation from Macy's for the inconvenience? Thanks for listening!
Margaret

Hi Sootired,
I too ordered my mattress from Macy's, but have to share my story, so you wont feel so bad. In Aug 2004 my family lost the roof to
our home during Hurricane Frances (we rode out that storm in the house), and for 3 months lived with my two boys, without electricity, in 98 degree South Florida heat, drinking our warm bottled water, and eating tuna and ravioli out of a can. We slept on the large throw rug on a tile floor in the Florida room of our home (the only section that had a roof) and spent months rebuilding, to finally have a roof 3 days before Christmas and I must say, it was the best mattress I ever owned! Sometimes during adversity, I've learned wonderful events can arise, as my boys and I enjoyed candlelit nights of Uno and monopoly, and we pulled together as a family, as no TV or such to distract us. I so cherish those moments now, who'd of thought!
Hang tough.....and cherish your mattress tomorrow night. Sleep well.
