Hello,
From having worked in a hospital for several years before venturing into home care, I highly encourage you to take your machine with you. Label everything the best you can with your name and important information (room number, phone, etc.- just in case!). The hospital that I worked at stocked VERY cheap masks and more often than not, if we had a home CPAP'er who used our equipment, they didn't wear it very well. The mask fit was an issue, the machine pressures on hospital machines may be different than what you're used to at home (different type of machines may be set the same but "feel" differently), and it's a charge you have to incur unnecessarily. I don't have any advice as a patient, but I hope that helps from the other side!

I had T Spine surgery June 1st. Took it with me. Told doctor and anesthesiologist had it on in recovery when I woke up and used it while I was in there no problems. Took it on cruise last summer no problems.
I think it is getting more exposure now and more people are becoming aware of it which is good thing.

Hi Chrstine
I'm taking my extra one w/me. I couldn't get a real ''yes'' or
'no'' on my question to take or not. I figure if I wind up staying o/night, I'd probably not sleep much anyway, hospitals are no longer very quiet,eh?
Good suggestion on labeling, I will do just that. Thank you for your tips.

You should PM Sleeping with the Enemy. She just had surgery and used it... I remember reading about her experience in one of the threads, but can't find it now.
Very best of luck to you!
