Anyone have AHI problems after an allergy shot?

I'm on week 4 of cpap and things are going ok to great then back to bad.

I'm starting to think the bad days are all allergy related. My predictable bad days are after I get my allergy shot. The shot always makes it difficult for me to breath for a day or so (not just my nose but lung capacity seems affected).

I usually get 7hrs sleep on cpap but the bad days are broken up into 3-4hrs of sleep and ahi goes up.

Not sure if the nasal rinse idea will work for this since it's caused by the shot.

Anyone else have this problem?

I don't have the problem, but the connection makes a lot of sense. Cpap pressure can't push away your congested tissue - and I have no doubt it's tissue congestion (as opposed to the usual, uncongested tissue collapse) that makes breathing harder for you after the shot.

Rinsing may help - and won't do any harm, so why not try it?

Coincidentally, a friend of mine recently had a rare, and bad asthma attack after an allergy shot....

Make sure your friend has an epi-pen on hand. Bad reactions can come some time after the shot.

Much sympathy here...allergy shots, particularly as they get stronger, can really cause reactions. I found that taking allergy medication helped with my reaction to my shots. Kept the it down to a dull roar.
