update on my progress

Post by utz1955 » Tue Apr 22, 2008 1:02 pm

Hi everybody , well , I got my CPAP on April 2nd. and I thought I would pass along my progress . If you are new to the CPAP , all I can say is to STICK with it , cause it will work , if you give it a chance . I have figured out most of my problems , I am getting a good seal now and have very little leakage , even when I toss and turn for a bit . I know I am sleeping alot better , cause when i started I didn't dream , but I am AGAIN dreaming and that is a GREAT feeling , even though some of them are kind of wierd . My machine has also gone from 4.8 hours of sleep per night to almost 6 , so I know it is working and I am starting to feel better . I NO longer wake up and need a nap right away . Thanks also to this website for all the info I have gotten since joining . This is a GREAT place for beginners for sure.

Michael

Michael,

I'm glad to hear that treatment is going well for you and you feel better. It is definitely worth being persistent.

Perhaps that's because your treatment is going so well that you're sleeping peacefully through your REM cycles, SleepyNoMore...just like you should, imho. Not waking up enough during a dream to be aware of it. I'd bet you're having dreams. You're just sleeping through them without any disruption. That's a good thing, in my opinion.
