I've been on the hose now for about 2 weeks, and I am no longer drowsy, so that's great. BUT, I now have headaches every morning and lower back pain. I never had these issues before the CPAP, but they seem to go away (mostly) with a hot shower. It's well worth the trade-off, but I'm interested to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience and what they did to solve it.
CPAP related pains?

Hi Tom,
CPAP usually helps with headaches. I wonder if your sinuses are getting too dried out? I'm also thinking this spring has been pretty rough on people with allergies, so maybe that is factoring in with your headaches?
As far as the new pains, I have more aches in the morning since using CPAP, and I'm thinking its because we sleep more soundly now, and move around less, and get stiffer.

I would guess you are tensed up with the mask. Holding your neck and shoulders in a position to keep from dislodging the mask is probably using muscles that arn't used to that. Try to relax and get comfortable with the mask hung over the edge of your pillow. You will get adapted soon and not have the headaches or muscle pains. Most important is to keep at it.
