I gotta see if anyone else has this...

For the last few days when I take off my mask I am detecting this wonderful aroma. I kinda smells like a combination of something my wife is baking and a slight hint of baby powder. It smells absolutely fantastic.
Have you folks experienced anything like that or have I totally lost my mind?!?!?!

Breathing filtered XPAP air refreshes your sense of smell, like being inside and going outside. As we are in a smell enviorment we get use to its smell, as we go into another things smell different. Jim

Even wearing a filter mask makes a difference.

I think your good wife may be storing the fresh baked bread in your bedroom closet!

Posted: Fri Dec 21, 2007 17:20 Post subject: Weird question about smell

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, this is going to sound really strange- I know it will, but I'm hoping someone else has dealt with this issue so that I don't feel like the only looney in the bin.

I've been using my mask (the nasal pillows one- sorry, can't remember name) since Monday. I am fine when I put it on and I fall asleep with the TV on (intentionally). However, if something wakes me up (hubby coming in room, my needing to use the bathroom, etc), I rip the mask off my face and can't bring myself to put it back on. The thing is that there is a very strong baby powder smell when I take the mask off and I seem to be the only one smelling it. There is no actual powder in my room, btw.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas for getting past it. I'm pretty happy with the 2 hours per night I've been getting, but I'd love to see what a full night's sleep feels like.

He was under the bed!

Doesn't explain the baby powder smell though!
