Dog chewed mask!
Dog chewed mask!
He looks so angelic in my atavar.
Who'd have thought he'd chew such an expensive piece of equipment. And how did he get hold of it??? It was my Swift which I'd put away ( I thought) while I trial the Liberty.
Will have to get hubby to put up a high shelf to keep my masks as I will never remember to keep the bedroom door shut. And anyway, he is a super smart dog, he can open doors.
Now I must choose between buying the Liberty or getting another Swift. No nice three monthly insurance like you get in the USA, it is all out of pocket. Though Resmed gave me a $150 voucher which will help. I guess that is an annual thing, I don't know.

So sorry your angelic pet munched on your gear. I have seen other posts in the past where others had a similar experience.
I kept this in mind when visiting a friend who has a dog and small kids. I insisted on keeping my bedroom door shut and got the small kids to agree they wouldn't go in the room. All went well : )
Anyway, best wishes keeping your gear from becoming a chew toy in the future. The picture of your dog really does look angelic : )))

Moby, I had been wondering if that was an ACD. We have one (with the dreaded blue eyes), and she is a dumpster diver. All trash receptacles in our home are covered. Fortunately, she hasn't gone after my mask, but I swear that she would rearrange the furniture if we would let her.
Pardon my little off-topic episode here, but the mention of an Australian really stirred up a lot of thought!

Too bad, I started right off by keeping my masks in my nightstand drawer. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats and I knew my masks would be gobled by at least one of them sooner or later. Somehow they seem to know what is supposed to be "off limits" and go for that.
Just a side note. I work with dogs in a kennel and the owner has 2 Rotties who stay there during the day. They are both big, huge babies!!!! A week or so ago, I found the buckle part of one of their leather collars laying on the place bed.. Nothing else remained. The one Rottie literally ate the others collar off. Needless to say we were on poop watch for awhile!!!!

Thanks for all of the posts!!
I have a mini dachshund that will eat anything (he has even eaten a pop can one of the grandkids left on the coffee table so have to be extra careful).
I tend to forget that it is a "dog thing".

Dog ate my mask
You guys are lucky. I lost two by my very small pomeranian puppy chewing them to bits. Yes they were up and in a draw but somehow he got ahold of them and chewed them to bits. We turned him over to Pomeranian Rescue in our area. I was upset enought when I saw they first one destroyed but the second one was just too much. He seemed to be a real DEVIL.

I'd never get rid of my dog. It's hard to believe that a person couldn't out think his dog. Jimzoeybd wrote:You guys are lucky. I lost two by my very small pomeranian puppy chewing them to bits. LOL! Our family welcomed 2 new kittens into our home over the holidays. The kitties are cute and very playful with one another and all their cute kitty toys.
One night, not long after the kitties arrived, I went to put on my Swift mask to settle down for a good night's sleep. Imagine my surprise when I turned on my APAP and I couldn't seem to get enough air. I also heard the sound of rushing air but no matter how I adjusted the mask, I just couldn't find and fix the leak.
The problem was evident after I took the mask off for an examination. Our wonderful new kitties had decided to use my mask as another kitty toy and there were tons and tons of small punctures all down my tubing and the make tube. They could barely be seen, but were definately heard when the machine was turned on! Now my masks stay in my nightstand drawer and kitties have left my tubing alone since.
