I got my new auto yesterday!

Post by dieselgal » Tue Apr 01, 2008 10:42 am

When I got home I found my new M series auto on the porch! I don't know why I am so excited because I may end up waiting until the weekend to set it up. By the time I got home last night and got supper I was just to tired to mess with it and I didn't want to go willy nilly because I have heard there are lots of settings.
Can't wait to try it though and let you know.
I was kind of surprised about one thing. I have been looking through the manual and it does show the swivel in the pictures and in setup but the only way I got that was a separate purchase. They should not show it in the setup manual if it isn't part of the package.

Hi Dieselgal, the newer machines do not include the hose swivel. They say that it tends to bend the hose or put a kink in it and that it is no longer needed. I dont have one on mine, and it is not a problem. You will definitely love your new machine!!!!!!! Especially the Aflex ....

Thankfully I had read that the swivel was a nice extra purchase from someone on here because the set up I will use at home will make that very handy. I was just surprised because all the illustrations in the manaul show it like it is part of the kit. Since it no longer is part of it you would think they would change the manual.
I am very excited about the machine and hope to get started on it within the next couple of days.
JSMYTHE, which machine did you have before?

The reason it's not part of the machine anymore is that it was part of the poor design problems that led to water leakage and leaks. Jim

Yeah I understand that it was a poor design I am still stuck on the fact that it is IN the manual!

It costs too much to change the paperwork, they would have to call China Printing Shop, and that's long distance. Jim

You could have bought a orgional unit with the elbow from a B & M DME, the result would have been the same, no elbow, except you could have got it on E-Bay. Jim

Don't make 'em mad........they're holding up a lot of our country's financial and securities sectors.

I don't know what would happen if all the countries that we owe money to would call all of the loans......

The only machine that I have owned is the RemstarPro M series, and now am using the Remstar Auto with Aflex. After using the Auto, (present one borrowed, Thanks to a wonderful forum member, mine is on order to receive next week, I hope, I am using Apria to get it.) My pressure has stayed around 15 and below for the last two weeks, instead of the prescribed 17! And believe me, that is a big difference! And all my numbers and events have went down drastically. My lowest on straight cpap was 1.9, and the lowest so far on the Auto has been .06. the highest being .09

Hi all
I just got my new m series apap with a flex today I've not set it up yet. But I did hook up the card reader and install my encore viewer software with no problems. I took the memory card from my old m series plus and down loaded the compliance data to check it out.

Now I need to take the old memory card to the dme so she can down load the compliance datefrom it. I've had this since june 2007 without ever taking the card in. I want to get it read before i start using the new machine I still want the insurance to pay for it as my backup.
I hope as my insurance runs out in June of this year. Bacause my enployer moved the plant to Mexico and I must find a new job, hopefully before my insurance goes to where I have to pay the hole amount the company is still paying the biggest part till june. Then it will be cobra.

If all the card has on it is from the Plus... no point in getting it read, unless the DME's trying to prove compliance to the insurance company. It won't give you more than hours used.
