read error on smart card, new after reloading encorepro

hey gang, had to totally rebuild my home computer, and after that, i can not download my smart card data, can see all my old data on encore pro and my encore( saved all the data files), but i get ' smart card error 80040212, error while downloading respironicsSmartCard ' i have erased the smart card and reloaded the my personal info back on it, but have not been able to download the last two weeks. i downloaded full info once a week. ideas??

thanks rip:D , looked all though that list, and did not do it, as i said, if worked fine before and now it does not, so something is up. but i sure dont know what it could be.

Did you check in your Preferences > System Settings to make sure it still set to "USB" ??

reader works fine, i can clear the card, reset the user info in encorepro and upload onto card, just can not download anymore. used the cpap utility program to save to hard drive, then reformatted card then reloaded info onto card, worked. but still will not download into encore pro. always gives me the same 80040212 error message as above. thanks for the idea, all are welcome at this point.

You don't happen to have your card reader plugged into a hub, do you?

If so, it needs to be plugged into a connector that is powered through the motherboard.

did not matter before, but just in case, tried MB and hub, no difference.

Ok back to Basics -
What is your OS?
What version of Encore?
Which make/model machine?

Most of all you did say it worked at one point, correct?

thanks for your help, but i have stated all the info, this is not the issue, it all worked before i had to reinstall my OS, nothing has changed, no hardware or software(the power supply was bad, causing disk errors, so system os crashed)

if all this info below will really help i will dig it up, but it should not matter, it all worked before, now it will not read the info on the card....thanks again, sorry if i sound ungrateful, but it seems people do not read the whole tread sometimes before they help...not you but others. and after now 3 weeks of no data, i am getting a bit frustrated.

any others ideas gang????
