How do you read a Smart Card?
How do you read a Smart Card?
Hi to all you wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful people!
Sorry, but I just had to say that first!
I have a Respironics BiPap Auto, Series M machine with a smart card. I am 67 days into my therapy and doing well. I've learned so much from all of you guys and gals here.
I have read posts that talked about reading data cards, but up till now, I've had my hands full just figuring out the basics. Now, I'm considering learning how to read the data and perhaps fine-tune things a bit. Good Idea, or, Bad Idea?
So, what sort of equipment would I need? I have a good computer at home. Where do you buy what? Is it expensive? I would do a "search", but I don't quite know what to "search" for at this point.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry.

The card reader can be acquired separately for a lot less $$ if you desire.
Cpap.com has the whole package as RipVW has said!!!!
If you search on card reader here or google on DT3500 you can find other places to go. I got mine directly from Hong Kong for about $35.00.... Works great!!!!
Having your data is invaluable in your evaluation of treatment. Without it, you're kind of shooting in the dark.....
Good luck!!
take care
cheers

Wars arise from a failure to understand one another's humanness. Instead of summit meetings, why not have families meet for a picnic and get to know each other while the children play together?

i think you can get software and reader for 154 at direct home medical or buy a card reader 35 and if you are good with computer might download (google search) encore viewer might have to try several as they are unclear which you need . don't know if this will work I just ordered a new machine and software +reader 130 extra
