With sleep apnea, oxygen saturation drops when apnea occurs. Therefore, on aircraft, if you can't use the device, it is less strain on your heart to sit upright than to lie down, ala. some business and some first class seats. I am going to the UK later this year and some of United 767s have a 110 v. outlet at each seat. We shall see if this is so.
