ComfortFull 2 Full Face

Post by Jeffchoy » Sat Mar 15, 2008 3:23 pm

Hi

I need an advice from you. I bought the ComfortFull 2 Full Face mask but the only problem i'm facing is : I have an oily face; So everyday before going to bed I wash my face and then wear the mask but after 3-4 hours when my face start to be oily or the preassure go up to 11, I have leaks in my mask especially from my cheeks under my cheekbones. I try to tide a bit more but the result is still same unless I over tide it then it's ok but got pain on my face.

Any advice will be most welcome as for the moment I need to wake up during the night, clean the mask and face then wear it back again.

Apart that the mask is very good and fit me well.

I had leak issues with my Comfort2 as well. Part of finding the right mask is finding one that best fits our face for comfort and no leaks. I use the Ultra Mirage FFM, and don't have leak issues with that one. Of course, adjusting headgear straps is part of the equation, too. Tighter is not necessarily better, and you need to experiment with with tightening/loosening top versus bottom straps, as well as adjusting the forehead support piece.

Good luck!

My face is oily too but I have chipmunk cheeks so most masks (I alternate three of them)don't leak there. Have you tried the mojo? It can be bent slightly to conform to your face. You could also line the leak points of the mask with the earplugs rolls others have used.

I never did get the CF2 to work for me. I've tried loose vs. tight straps, and I would end up with face and jaw pain. I also experienced more leaks later in the night, but I think it's due more to my face relaxing when I'm deeper asleep. Bottom line, this mask is now in the drawer never to emerge again. Still looking for a FF that works.

Same thing as what some of the others said. Never could get the CF2 to fit, quit leaking or quit hurting my face. After about 1 1/2 years after I started therapy with my UMFF, I felt compelled to at least TRY another mask.....and the original Comfortfull was the one I used in the titration portion of my sleep study. I managed to make it 3 nights before I heard my "old faithful" whispering in my ear. It was like a second honeymoon.
The UMFF is my nightly companion but I occasionally use the Quattro.

The only advice I have – try as many masks as possible. You can take a look at my mask’s dairy. It might give you some ideas, but mostly you’ll need to figure it out by yourself.
