Number Crunching (Newbie)

S8 Vantage set on auto. This past week I have been using the quottro. Before that was the Ultra. I did not change the mask setting on the apap. I did not know until today that you could view your daily data by holding down the left/right buttons for 3 sec to get your nightly numbers otherwise I would have posted these earlier.

Day:
Press: 13.8
Leak 0.08
AHI: 5.4
AI: 2.3
HI: 3.1

Week:
Press: 13.4
Leak: 0.20
AHI: 5.5
AI: 1.0
HI:4.7

Month:
Press: 13.2
Leak: 0.46
AHI: 5.8
AI: 1.6
HI: 4.1

Here is my other delema. This is on my trial machine. I have not set up my own yet and I have a meeting at 4 pm today to go over my numbers with them (DME??? I think is the term for the supplier). I had a meeting with them last week and they wanted me to bring in the machine to see where my pressure was and take it off of the auto mode. I showed up at the meeting but forgot the machine..... sort of. I did not want to go off the auto mode I am trying to get MY vantage set up but am having a little bit of difficulty. If someone could help me set up my Vantage it would be greatly appreciated. My script is for 7-14 which is what I think my trial machine is set up for (don't know how to check that) but I am assuming that with an average pressure of around 13 maybe have it set from 8-15?.... maybe?

Cheers

Duh, I guess in auto mode their is no adjustment to be made.
However I have the FF Quattro but there is no setting for this in the facemask option. I set it to Mirage Ultra. Is this correct?

If your script is 7-14 the DME certainly shouldn't switch you from auto to fixed mode.

The Quattaro and UMFF have the same setting on the apap, no need to worry about that.

Your breathing results look good - a slightly higher bottom range may drop some of those hypopneas, and you leaks seem to be improving as time goes by.

If I has to set up my own machine based on that data, I'ld take the bottom pressure as high as I felt comfortable with at this point - more than 1 cm higher if I could take it, even up to 10, or 11. As for the top - I'ld leave it at 14 for the first week or 2 to see what my results are. Make just one change at a time.

O.

Thank you ozij, But am I correct in that leaving apap I do not have to set up any ranges? Once I get my software running then I plan to do a 1 month trial on cpap w/epr and see how that goes. The best part is that my DME (as far as I know) has no idea that I will be handing back my trial machine to them and thanking them for my time. Although they may even be members on this board as well

Got it! Thank You cpap.com again. I needed to know how to get into the "Clinical Menu" to make my adjustments. I wanted to increase the min (now 8.4) and the max. (now 15.6) to see if this will lower my AHI. I almost want to go for a snooze to see if this makes a differance.

The setting for humid was "OFF" I changed to to "on" (I think it came up as front loader... or something like that.) Is this OK or should I change it back to the off position?
