I've been looking on the web for replacement of just the silicone seal on the flexifit 431.
I need a small or medium (product code 400HC112 or 400HC104) based on this part list:
http://www.fphcare.com/osa/pdf/OSA_Prod_Cat_highres.pdf
(page 5)
I keep finding prices of $60+ for the seal--anyone have any advice where else to look? A lot of time I'm finding the whole mask system, and not just the replacement parts.

Here is the link, if you plan to buy out of pocket. If you have INS, you may check when you can get a replacement through INS and your local DME provider. Jim

Some people actually have a small they are willing to trade - if you have something else to trade.
If ins. is buying -get the whole thing so you have a spare.

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?

If you buy a new mask you get a small, medium and large seal. You can then trade the two seals you don't need for your size and have 3 seals, mask & headgear for the price of two seals.

I would suggest looking on eBay (they are still selling parts of masks) and cpapauction.com as well.
I have been successful at trading with other forum members as well. I would go that route first if at all possible. I don't have the size you need but others might.

Cushion
In answer to your question on the cushion, there is a 432 ffmask that has a cushion inside of the silicon seal. My understanding is that the cushion and seal for the 432 will not fit the 431 ffmask. I also have the 431 and a couple of things I have discovered might help. For me, the mask needs to set up higher than I originally thought, top of the silicon seal seats almost to my eyebrows and the lower chin cup holds my mouth almost completely closed. The upper harness straps are very loose where the brace pad barely touches my forehead. The lower straps are fairly snug.
Hose management helps a lot too, keeping the hose mounted above your head with the mask swivel pointed up slightly seems to keep turning from unseating the mask from the side of your face.
Rainout on my hose also caused the mask to slide around like a hockey puck, the only effective answer to that was a heated hose.
Good Luck

I have a small I never wore. I used the Medium until it tore in the bottom right corner. Small could be had cheap.
