Do the nose size cutouts help find Comforgel size?

Post by shardebhow » Sun Feb 03, 2008 9:07 pm

I am contemplating getting a Comfort Gel. I have a comfort select but someone said that the Comfort Gel would be more comfortable for me. CPAP.com has it for a good priceso I would probably just pay for it out of pocket. The person said that I have a small nose and the the petite size would probably work well for me. I found on the Respironics web site where you can download templates to help determine the correct size. Has anyone used this and are they accurate in size determination?

Just make sure you have followed the directions carefully when downloading the guide and then printing it. Otherwise you might get your dimensions off.

I found that when I tried the guide that was on the Comfortlite II that the sizing chart that I downloaded was not accurate for the direct seals. I even double checked the directions and from what I could determine I had downloaded it and printed it correctly. The good thing was that I was able to trade with another forum member for the correct size!!!!!!

Hi--I have the comfort gel in the PETITE Size---my face is not too small but I suppose I do have a small nose --and esp. had problems with leaks and wind in my eyes from all the other masks. I had been using the Flexift 407 which is still pretty good but the comfort gel is so much more comfortable!!!

The GEL conforms to your face--I am a side sleeper and this masks is the best one I have found so fr....good luck with your quest!!

Carrie

Also, cpap.com has a sizing guide where you measure your face and use the measurements, they can help determine a size also in addition to the Size gauge.

When you measure your face, write the measurement down, then enter them in the right boxes on the fitting page, click Find my size and it will help you find it. As Jim said, the package has a Cut Out guide on it that works as well, and as Carol said, you can download it from the website also.

I have used that sizing guide on CPAP.COM where you measure your face and that one never works out to the right size for me. It usually shows me I need a large and I always wear a petite or small. The only mask I have ever worn a Medium was the Soyala and it runs small.
