How to keep tights out of your mouth.

Post by Country4ever » Thu Jan 24, 2008 7:59 am

The tights chinstrap I've made works incredibly well for the most part. But lately, I wake up during the night with them in my mouth! I suppose that's not so bad for leaks either, since not much air can get out. I have a strap of elastic that attaches to the tights and goes behind my head and anchors them fairly well.....but they can still roll up and end up in my mouth. Any suggestions?
I suppose I could try getting a couple of those ironing board cover clips and attaching them to the tights and then to my pj top???

Chuckling as well, I would suggest you not pull them up so high!

I don't have a suggestion otherwise. I don't use them as a chinstrap.

First, undress your girlfriend....

Hey, my Topaz chinstrap does that too. I just keep pulling it down. I think that's the nature of chinstraps.

Good luck!

I know you wanted an answer to your question, and I feel really bad.....but you gave me the laugh I needed for the day.

Hope you find a solution.

Do I want to keep them out of my mouth? Depends on what is in them!

Sorry the Devil made me do it!

Trust me Gumby, you don't want a pic.
Just picture someone gagged with a bandana........that's sort of how it looks when it slips up too high.
Dang.........we should start a "funniest home CPAP videos".....
Then again.....maybe not.

Well, we have attached almost everything else to our bodies -- why not ironing board clips?

LOL, Country4ever!

I don't know what your chinstrap technique is, so this may not be helpful. I only need a chinstrap every now and then when inexplicably I wake up in the night with my mouth slightly open. I have a spare tights leg on the night stand. Instead of putting it under my chin sort of rolled up and then tied above my head, I flatten out the tights leg and have it cup my chin. That seems to help it stay put.

If that is how you are already doing it and it still winds up in your mouth, I don't have any bright ideas. Keep us up to date. Inquiring minds want to know.
