My milestone - 1 year

Post by azaloune » Sun Jan 20, 2008 10:37 pm

I just celebrated my 1 year anniversary on CPAP on Jan 16th. I feel so much better than I did last year I can hardly believe it.

I only missed 1 whole night and I missed about ½ the night twice due to power outages. My brother is giving my husband and I uninterrupted power supplies the next time he visits. That will be around Easter. What a gift!

I just signed up for the Mayor's new project, Oklahoma City is going on a diet. I hope this works.

Thanks for all the support I have gotten here.

Caution! I brake for Elves, Fairies, Gnomes, Leprechauns, Unicorns, Dragons & and other invisible creatures only I can see!

Wow! Congratulations, you people inspire me with these aniversaries. I hope one day I'll reach various milestons. Right now I'm still waiting for the milestone of being in complance two days in a row.

There's hope, just remind me to be patient not to stop trying.

Azaloune, now how are you going to party in celebration and diet at the same time?

Congratulations!

Congratulations on the anniversary.

I love these kinds of posts. Truly we all celebrate each other's successes here every day. People who reach milestones not only inspire and encourage people new to cpap, but do the same for themselves and the not-so-newbies.

If a person can persevere for a year (or whatever milestone) it is likely that they are invested in the therapy and its lifesaving effects. Such a person has managed to get past the initial strangeness and discomfort of sleeping with a machine and mask. That is the biggest hurdle, IMO. While most people will agree that getting the right mask is the key to success, as do I, before you continue the search for the mask, you have to accept CPAP as the means to recovering your health.

I believe you will continue with CPAP, now that you have come this far.
