Call To Enroll: ComfortFull 2 vs ZZZ-Full Product Challenge
Greetings CPAPtalkers,
The first one was so fun, we thought we would do it again!
This time around we are seeking current, active ComfortFull 2 users to trial and evaluate the new ZZZ-Full Face CPAP Mask from Probasics. If you are interested in receiving a free mask and want to use the internet to help our industry judge products in terms of patient satisfaction, please enroll:
productchallenge
So how do our competitors match up? Here's a chart that combines CPAP.com Consumer Preference Q4 2007 sales data with CPAP.com Average Ratings.
CPAP.com Market Share, CPAP.com Star Rating (Out of 5), Mask
28%, 4.3, Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask
27%, 4.0, ComfortFull 2 Full Face Mask
12%, 4.4, Quattro Full Face Mask
11%, 4.1, HC431 Full Face Mask
6%, 3.9, Liberty Full Face Mask
You'll notice the ZZZ-Full Face mask doesn't rank in the top 5 last quarter. It was the 8th most popular full face mask with a share of approximately 3%. However, it boasts an early CPAP.com star rating of 4.2! Many of those adventurous early adopting souls must have found something they liked. For those interested in reviews and more information on the ZZZ-Mask Full Face, here is a link to its product page:
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/zzz-ma ... asics.html
Clearly Probasics believes their product can stand toe to toe with the top sellers. They have already gained a foothold in the online value CPAP market, can they do it again in the full face mask space? It should be a very interesting set of results!
Johnny

Nice to see another challenge!!
Although I don't qualify for this one as I use a Fisher and Paykel 431 as my mask of choice when using a full face mask I am excited about it.
I feel that at some point I will be in "your" group and will get my chance!!
Thanks for offering another great challenge!!

I had to do the entry twice since there was a SQL error the first time...
Could not execute query: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
But I was able to register the second time.
See what happens... Been using a Comfortfull 2 since around July 2006.

Sorry! My suggestion is to sign up for the Product Challenge and try to leverage a ZZZ-Mask Full Face out of the deal as you have purchased and are now a ComfortFull 2 user.

Just the usual timing issues that I seem to have with most things.

I'd be interested in the results of this challenge as I will be looking for a full face mask in the near future so I don't have to tape all the time with my nasal pillows.
Keep up the good work, CPAP.com. I look forward to taking you up on a challenge some day. I love how you include us, the users, to help the industry make better products for us, the users.

Well, I was picked, but because I did not respond to the confirmation email in ONE HOUR, I was then dropped?! Whew, I guess if one ones to participate, one must watch for incoming email non-stop. Crazy! I would think that a 24 hour response time would be reasonable. This was not very fair, in my view.

Greetings,
Hundreds of people have requested selection for both of the product challenges we have conducted. While we're thrilled with the interest and support, the down side is that not everyone can be chosen.
When you sign up, you are exchanging your feedback for a free product. This is a pretty good deal and a factor in the overwhelming responses we've received. Also, it shifts what you can expect from us in terms of administration. We're the one's with the candy, so to speak.
We want 50 extremely active, responsive, experienced, "into it" participants. If you look at the quality of the data in our first challenge, you can see that this approach pays off big. What great participants!
In cases where we have one slot to fill and our automated selection software presents several equally well qualified candidates for that last slot, we will send to all and allow a first come, first serve basis to choose the winner.
This is our intense way of saying "hey, we're giving out free product here and we need some seriously fired up, experienced CPAP users to help us let the whole industry know what they like."
There are no 24 hour windows or second place finishes. We are that serious about the CPAPtalk.com Product Challenge and what we think it will mean for the industry and therefore for the product quality available for all patients.
This is how we will be running our challenges.

Okay, Johnny--guess I didn't realize that in order to be "seriously fired up" one must monitor their email to beat others who were offered the one spot--somehow, that email race did not occur to me, didn't see that mentioned when I enrolled. I think it would be more reasonable, certainly more fair, to offer only the spots that are available, letting all know that if they are selected they have 24 hours to respond; after that, their spot would be offered to someone else. I suspect that you'll find most will agree that this is a more equitable, reasonable, fair method of selection of your product challenge participants.

i guess i was lucky to be online and catch that email as soon as i got it, lol, another reason to have outlook express check for new emails every two minutes, hehe.

This is the original annoucement message that I received.
