need help - still snoring

Post by JWALSH2689 » Fri Jan 18, 2008 2:40 pm

I have been on CPAP for about 3 weeks. According to my wife, some nights I still snore and some nights I don't. I am not sure if snoring is common when on CPAP or not? My understanding is that I should not be snoring. Does this mean my pressure is too low and is not keeping my airway open? My pressure is 9.
Should I ask to doc to prescribe me a machine that is data capable? Would have such a machine tell me if I was snoring? If so, I would then be able to tinker with the pressure to get the snoring to stop, right?

By all means.....ASK FOR ONE! (or DEMAND one if your doctor is hesitant)
They probably haven't even gotten the first billing sent into your insurance, yet.
Let 'em know you're going to be taking charge of your therapy.

Could be one or two problems.
One.....not enough pressure.
Two......you may be mouth-leaking with your nasal mask if you're not using something to seal your mouth.
