Not at all

I dont try to lay on the tubes that much but had never had a single face mark from the na II

I have used it ponytale style but cropped off at the crown of the head
and slept with tempurpedic or a pappillow with the hose hanging down from a plant hanger

I also used it figure eight style with the addition of a headband and with the hose laying on the bed and have not had a problem with that either

either way for me it beats the CL2, The Swift 1 or 2 and the bravo
for comfort and therapy

The Swift was my first mask and to date is still my favorite. Definitely go up a pillow size. I actually go between the small and the medium, but am most comfortable with the medium. And your straps shouldn't be so tight to as to give you the pig-nose feel. Ayr gel in the nose and esp. around the nares does help the seal, plus it helps protect the inside of your nose.

And use humidity. Surprisingly, added humidity does more than keep things moist - the increased humidity also helps mouth breathing. Don't know why, but it does.

I see in your profile that you have the M series Plus machine. This is a non-data capable machine that just shows compliance. It is the lowest end of the M series that you can buy to my knowledge.

You apparently have purchased the Swift and the Headrest masks -- both good masks and not at the cheap end.

You list that you use the Aussie hose which in my opinion is a lot of money (so far no rain out but if I start having problems will probably break down and buy one).

You indicate you have the Pappillow which is a great pillow and fairly expensive at around $60.00 or so.

You seem to take steps to ensure your therapy is going in the right direction and don't understand why you haven't upgraded your machine to a data-capable xpap. Of course all of us have different priorities, but the first thing I wanted to do was to upgrade my Plus machine with the scripted (I was given a script for an APAP) one!! I had a fight to get it but got it done!!
The reason why I don't have a data capable, as I have stated in previous threads is simple, and trust me, if I could have just gone out a bought one I would have. I went for a sleep study and found I have severe OSA. I had to wait 2 weeks for the second titration study then another 5 weeks for my follow up with my doctor (which has not come yet) then once I meet with the doctor we will discuss the machine I will be getting. The doctors office orders the machine to be delivered to his office, where he has technicians employed for setting up the machines, fitting the masks, etc. I have no idea when I am going to get in for that appointment, but if my inability to get an appointment in a timely manner is any indication, it may not be until February. I Don't have an Rx for one, and the only DME I could find that would sell me machines at the time I wanted did not have any data capable straight CPAPs. He would have had to order one and that would have taken weeks.

I have purchased all of my equipment myself, so far about $1000.00 worth. If that doesn't show how bad I felt before all of this, and how bad I want this to work, well, I don't know what else to tell you.

As far as the fit for my swift. Last night I loosened of all my straps to where the mask was falling off my face, and just tightened up enough to the point where I had no leaks. It worked fine.

The night of my titration test, the tech told me he was giving me a medium, and I never even looked at the size. I checked last night, and it's actually set up with the large, so that's not the problem. In any event, I was able to get the mask to work without discomfort last night, so it's good.

Thanks for the feedback

Sorry Ron -- forgot your previous post.

Just a thought there was an autopap (Remstar auto and if I remember right the tank version) with just a few hours on it on craigslist for $200.00.

If I would have had the extra cash I would have purchased it myself but I am between paydays.

YMMV, but I like the Opus 360. You have to make sure and use the right size pillows, but that is the case with any pillow mask. I like the fact that the hose can swivel in any direction you desire. When I attached it to the headgear overhead, I felt like it was pulling on my nose. Now that I let it free swivel, that solved the problem. I swivel mine overhead and it lays on my pillow. I have no issues with turning with it on and I go from side to side in my sleep.

First night with the Opus 360 last night after only having used a Swift II. What a difference! The Opus was way more comfortable, less nostril pressure, quieter, better sleep. Thanks F&P!!

I also have the Opus 360 and love it! I really don't have anything to compare it to - I used it on my titration study night - brand new to the sleep lab that night. It was the best part of my study - I was so concerned about having something on my face and being able to sleep - and ended up overjoyed at how comfortable it was! The sleep tech has OSA and she was so impressed that she ordered one for herself the next day as well.

I tried my Swift for the whole night last night after reading this thread. It wasn't bad. It was the first time I was able to ever wear it all night. It was because I didn't tighten it as much as before. I forgot to reset my machine to the Swift mask though. I had .02 leaks this morning.

I woke up with AYR saline gell all over my uppder lip. I wonder what's up with that? That never happened with my Optilife.
