Original Opus vs. Opus 360
OK... just came back with a new mask from my DME. (Returned the OptiLife).
He gave me the Fisher and Pykel "Opus".
I THINK it's the old headgear though, not the Opus 360.
Has anyone used both, and is the 360 an "upgrade"?
I'm just concerned with replacing it in 6 months... what if it's not available?
Should I go back to the DME and insist on the new 360?
I'm still so new at this. Sorry if I'm asking dumb questions.
Thanks in advance

In Canada and maybe elsewhere in the world this mask does not have '360' in the name, it is only called Opus. The new mask code as far as I know is HC482A (while the old one was HC482). You can also see the differences between both here:

I definately have the older version.
Thank you everyone for your answers.
I think I need to ask this question in another way...
Should I be accepting from my DME, what is essentially a discontinued mask?
I mean, it would be one thing, if he sold it to me with that disclosure and at a discounted rate....
But basically I traded in the OptiLife for an outdated mask...
I supposed if it works for me...
But, I just don't like the feeling of possibly being mislead or ripped off.

In my opinion the new one looks better (it is the improved new version after all) and so far works well for me (took me a few days to find the right strap settings and get used to it), check those thread for some extra information, especially the messages from this awesome DanGr dude

Ask for the new one, you are the one enduring it on your face every night!

I too would insist on the newer one.

Well thanks for your advice.
There was absolutely no support from the mask and the leaks were extensive with the older Opus.
I think the new version had a more rigid support on the side straps of the face, which might've helped to alleviate the problem.
However, my pressure is 14 and that's really on the cusp of making nasal pillows problematic, if not impossible for some to use. I realize that some are able to do so successfully, but I think between the 14 pressure and the fact that I toss and turn quite a bit will make it unlikely that they'll work for me on a regular basis.
So, even though I only gave it one night ... I've switch again. 3rd mask in a weak and I think perhaps the 3rd time was a charm.
I used the sleepnet IQ mask last night with great success and had my first full night's sleep in a week. The "Holey Strap" head gear was comfortable enough for me... I do have to get used to managing it better, But once I got it set, it was fine.
Thanks again for your advice!
