What setting are you using on your humidifier? How you tried turning it up some?

AYR Nasal Saline Gel will help your nose recover quickly. You can buy it at most pharmacies in a 3 or 4oz tube.

Use a QTip to apply the gel. It will sooth your sore nose. I use it from time to time and it works great.

I gave up on my breeze 3 times over the course of oh, maybe 6 months before I realized that I had to have them adjusted much less tightly than seemed necessary. The bellows design of nasal pillows is there to allow a seal with out being forced against your nose. When fit correctly, it seems too loose, but you'll notice that it's still sealing. Same goes for my Twilight NP or whatever they're calling it these days.

Ayer gel will help you during the "break-in", but try using less pressure against your nostrils, and that should help more.

They are using the Activa which is not a pillow or prong type nasal system.

A few years ago I was having trouble with severely dry skin and I ended up running a cool mist humidifier in my classroom to help with the humidity level. I was running a humidifier at home but apparently it wasn't enough for me. Once I started using one at work I noticed a difference. This was before I was on a cpap, but I would assume it would still be beneficial.

The Ayr gel or mist would also help during the winter months when it is really dry if used regularly.

Please let us know if your nose is healing -- maybe we can come up with some other ideas to help.

From what I can tell, the sores are staph infections....caused when a boy and girl staph walk down a hair shaft.....and homestead at the hair root. The pain starts when they breed up so many offspring that they begin to outgrow their home.......and put pressure against the nerve hooked to the hair.

I've been fighting the little devils all my life.

If you can put the area under magnification.......find the hair that the staph couple walked down....and pull it with tweezers......you'll probably get 'em.

At least that's what works for me.....
