Post by deebra » Wed Jan 02, 2008 9:30 pm

Anyone else have this problem, ive been on c-pap almost 3 months again and every morning i have a bad headache mostly front of head. is this normal or should i consult the sleep doc ? still only sleeping about 3 1/2 hours or four if im lucky, and only if i take an ambien can i sleep for about 6 hours, how long will this headache last and or is this normal foe some, and how long until i get to sleep? my humidity is anywhere between 2 or 3 and my pressure is 9.

Wow, I'd sure talk to my doc about that. For me, the loss of the daily headache has been the biggest bonus of CPAP. I'm still waiting for the renewed energy.

That sounds very wrong to me, especially since you reported you need additional oxygen:

Try to get an RT to come around and check you setup, including the oxygen supply ASAP - today if possible, and contact your doctor immediately too.

The headaches may be related to improper cpap treatment, but the doctor and you also have to rule out any other possible reasons.

Don't wait for other people to show up with "similar problems" contact your professional team now.

The equipment on your profile shows a Respironics Plus machine, and software. This machine will not give you the data you or your doctor need to monitor the therapy effects. When you talk to your doctor, insist on your need for having a fully data capapble machine.

Good luck and keep us posted.
