Hey! Video!

Thought this might help those who've been reading about nasal irrigation but are mystified.

The first two times I did this, it was a nightmare. Then I suddenly caught on, and it's no more irritating than brushing my teeth.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for sharing! I saw a neti pot kit at my local Wally World the other day and almost bought it. I've been thinking about trying, so this will be very helpful!

The recent cold I had lasted all of three days. I'm convinced that regular neti-pot use has helped. The worst three days, I rinsed my nose three times a day. Only other thing I did was take a few Zinc drops. Neti-pots work!.

Just got a Neti-Pot

Well, I'd read and heard so much about this, that when I was real congested last week and spent a night in the chair since I couldn't use my mask, I went out and bought one. Have to say it really helped clear things out, and since I had seen it demonstrated on Oprah and read every detail of the instructions first, I had no trouble.

The few key points to make it successful...
Water temp = warm
Lean forward at waist over sink
Turn head sideways till one nostril is above the other
Keep top of head higher than chin
Breathe continually thru mouth while performing
Blow very gently afterward to avoid pressure in ears
