Well I have slept on my stomach for as long as I can remember, but when I got my bipap my doctor advised me to try to sleep on my side. I've been trying but it is near impossible for me to fall asleep. I tried laying on my stomach, but my mask wouldnt stay in place and I was worried I was covering the holes in the mask. Are there any people here who sleep on their bellies successfully? And if so how do you do it? Thanks in advance for any advice, and I'd like to say that I love this forum, I'd has helped me so much, and you guys are awesome!

tummy sleeping
Hello and welcome to the forum.
I have always slept on my tummy and find that I can do this successfully when I put my mask off the side of my pillow. I make what I call a "Cliff" on the side of my pillow and the mask hangs off the edge.
I do not cover any exhaust holes and I sleep very well this way.
I wish you the best of luck. Stick with it, it will change your life for the better. It is a gradual change and it may seem worse before it gets better, but it will get better.

Several tummy sleepers have reported that this mask works better than any they've tried for tummy sleeping position:
Aeiomed's "Headrest" nasal pillows mask.
The exhaust vent is placed in a very unique position, unlike any other mask's exhaust -- placed above eye level and pointed straight up. Doesn't hit anything. The Headrest mask has been my favorite mask for over two years...through all its name changes!
You can read a ton of discussions about it here:

Unfortunately, most DMEs have probably never even heard of this mask, much less carry it.
Many online cpap stores carry it, including cpap.com:

Something that might help tummy sleepers manage the position of any mask better is this:
The "Shapeable Pillow" sold by Target stores. You can smush it any which way. Easy to make a contour or depression where you want the mask to be. Could be squashed in a way to sleep more or less face down.
If a tummy sleeper keeps their head turned to the side, what PADACHEEK suggested works...hanging a mask off the edge of a pillow. The PAPillow, sold by several online stores including cpap.com, has a firm contoured edge for that.
The PAPillow and Target's "Shapeable Pillow" are my two favorites, as a side sleeper. I'm a toss'n'turn sleeper, sometimes semi-tummy position with head turned to side.
Hanging the main air hose overhead helps keep any mask from being tugged out of place, no matter what position a person sleeps in:
