Cleaning mask of cold germs

Post by farawaydeb » Sun Dec 23, 2007 1:36 pm

I have a terrible cold, approaching bronchitis. I use a full-face mask.

How can I "sterilize" it -- kill the germs, without using any alcohol, which was recommended against? Will just hot/warm soapy water be good enough?

Yep. Quite a few of us use Dawn dishwashing liquid. Some also use a soaking in a solution of water and vinegar.

Thank you. That's my regular cleaning procedure, just wasn't sure if it would be good enough. I guess since I'm the only one who uses it, they will only be my germs anyway.

I purchased Control III Disinfectant CPAP Cleaning Solution from cpap.com to sterilize my masks after/during a cold (just to be on the safe side).
