retrieving data

Post by Stephead » Tue Dec 18, 2007 3:15 pm

I'm quite sure this has been addressed before but I'm so new to the OSA glossary that I'm can't seem to find the right key words to use in 'search' function. SO my apologies and here goes...

I see that many of you are able to see nightly results concerning leakage rates and AHIs per night. How can get this data off of my CPAP?

Thanks much!

From what I've read, you need a card reader for your smart card (sold separately) and the appropriate software to read the data from the card (also sold separately, or bundled with the card reader).

The software and reader aren't exactly cheap. But you can get them from CPAP.com. I plan on eventually getting the reader and software for my ResMed unit. Just haven't gotten to that point yet. Hopefully they left you with the smart card itself (although that too can be purchased). The user manual should have information on how to put the card into your CPAP unit. After that, it's a matter of having the reader and software to do the rest.

As for reading the results, I've seen some folks here help out with decipering things. The software is mainly used by the DME's and doctors. I haven't purchased my software yet, so can't tell you what kind of documentation is included with it.
