Yes, you have to have 1.8 with that model. Check your P.M.'s in a few minutes. They don't work quickly sometimes. Jim

The software called EncoreViewer 1.0 will work with the Respironics REMstar Auto/A-flex M series machine as well as with the older Respironics machines.

The owners ( cpap.com ) of this message board have EncoreViewer for sale, as do some other online stores.

EncoreViewer will give the same detailed data info as Encore Pro 1.8

EncoreViewer 1.0 gives the same data reports as Encore Pro 1.8. Same data, presented the same way.

Differences I've noticed for analysis purposes are:

1. you can export an Encore Pro report to PDF (and some other formats) with a single click while viewing the report. To do that with an EncoreViewer report, you need to take a few extra steps using an extra program that will save it to PDF. I use a free program called "PrimoPDF" for that.

2. James Skinner's Encore Pro Analysis works with Encore Pro but not with EncoreViewer. Yet. He's probably working on that.

Thank Rested gal

I was refering to the James Skinner's Encore Pro Analysis with Encore Pro wich I already dowload . Since I am controlling my snorkle machine I was looking for tools to fine tune my posology.

I am already printing my report with "cutepdf" software but I was under the impression that pro add a little more infos.

Best

Michel (the newbie)

I'm also looking for a source to buy EncorePro 1.8 if it's still available, albeit 'under the counter', so to speak.

There is another PDF "printer" I've used that works pretty good called CutePDF, they also developed CuteFTP etc.

It is free to download and use, it installs like a printer in your printer pool, then you simply select print to PDF instead of your regular printer. Works pretty good:

http://www.cutepdf.com/

I use a Mac (both Tiger and Leopard) and it has that feature built-in as a print option.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

Encore Viewer Reports

Post by upm903 » Tue Jan 29, 2008 9:46 am

If u r interested in reports from the New Encore Viewer from Respironics I can run it for you and Email you the reports.

Using the utility at http://www.mycpap.com you copy your SmartCard to disk and Email me the file to UPMCPAP@hotmail.com .

All you need to buy now is just the card reader. You can save the sofware Price about 130$.

If satisfied you could reward me at the same Email.

Sam
