Respironics Remstar Auto CPAP with C-Flex for Sale

Post by Sleeping With The Enemy » Sat Dec 15, 2007 6:55 pm

Anyone interested in buying an auto CPAP, I also have 2 Activa masks and 1 comfortlite 2 mask. My machine comes with humidifier, hose, card reader, smart cards and software.

I'd be willing to trade for a desktop or laptop computer...

Serious inquiries only, please. The machine was used for about 1 1/2 years and is in excellent condition, I took very good care of it, masks are fairly newer. Thanks

Why not post it on cpapauction.com?

There has been a few posters that have listed items for sale and I feel that the best place for items that are for SALE is to list on cpapauction.com and keep the forum for sharing information and encouragement for those that need it.

I feel the purpose of this forum is to help each other out with issues regarding the use of CPAP treatment, sleep apnea, and sleep disorders.

The Goodman's are very generous with their support and do not monitor this site in such a way to slant it towards their businesses or their own interest.

They have established cpapauction.com as a place that buyers and sellers can go and get some really good deals on xpap equipment. cpapauction.com is in competition with the cpap.com site in that competitors can list on the auction site with items that can sell for less than what cpap.com can sell them for.

The cpapauction site does charge a small sellers fee, never a buyer's fee when items are sold. This allows them to recoup some of the cost of selling on the auction site. Why not support the Goodman's in this endeavor by purchasing and listing on cpapauction?

I know it would have been a real turn off for me if the forum would have been littered with items for sale among the valuable helpful threads that make our treatment a little easier. I, for one, probably wouldn't have given the site another thought and certainly would not be an active member.

This is just my feeling on the listing of items for sale on the cpaptalk site.

Sleepycarol,

I understand your point. But untill Johnny says no to selling on the boards there is nothing stopping anyone. Some just feel more comfortable doing it here rather than on the site.

I understand the point, too. Like Alpha, I also think some people feel more comfortable offering their machine, mask, whatever on the board rather than through an auction. I have no problem seeing occasional offerings on the board.

Some are not allowed to post on the auction and it is possible to put it here.

Good points. I didn't mean to make a federal case of it.

I have put a few things on the forum about trading and even have a thread about allowing members to try some of my masks as a trial.

I hadn't thought about not being able to list. I set up an account and have listed on cpapauction.com to move a few things cpap related.

Hope no one is mad at me.
