It looks to me like it's the same ComfortGel, with the same features, and a extra seal and their better headgear. That doesn't look to me to be woorth doubleing the price. ($125)

Marketing is a wonderful thing....... Jim

YES--ON Google it says: The Respironics ComfortFusion CPAP Nasal Mask is scheduled to be released on December 10, 2007. For more information please call us at 888-955-2727.

The ComfortFusion is essentially a combination of the ComfortSelect and ComfortGel nasal masks, with the best features from each mask.

The new ComfortFusion is available in two sizes: Small (1040769) and Medium (1040770).

I wear the Petite Comfort Gel mask --so wonder why SMALL is the only one that I coudl get instead of the Petite?

ComfortFusion

I don't know just what it is that they are trying, but, if it has the word "Comfort" in it, it's got to be uncomfortable and unusuable. My opinion only as I've tried them all.
CPAP is wonderful until a cure is found!

I participated in the trial of the ComfortFusion mask this past summer. I've been on cpap for almost 20 years and tried alot of masks. And this is by far the most comfortable mask I've had. Not that Ive tried every mask out there. But we all strive to find the one that works for us. It is not like the ComfortGel. It's like not wearing a mask at all. I was very happy to see it went into production. It was well thought out and is very comfortable and easy to adjust. I don't work for Respironics and this just my opinion on the mask.
But it will be my mask of choice.

Wow, I agree! $125 is ludicrous. I hate it when they overprice things that are new just to gouge the early adopters. I've seen it in a few places for less though. Lowest was $59.99 which seems much more reasonable! I may try it at that price. Anyone else had experience with it?

PSST****

It's aimed at the low end user, designed to compete with FP 407.

It's an economy mask.

That said, the forehead piece looks pretty comfortable, and there is no gel.

I had it in my little hands the other day.

I see it for sale for $60, about the same as ComfortGel.
This was at CPAPXChange.com

http://www.cpapxchange.com/cpap-masks-b ... onics.html

I see it is $126 at CPAPMan.com. Most sites do not have it yet, but I would expect it would be in the $60 range.

Oooooh.... looks like a new mask worth trying, since I use the FF Nasal 407! Perhaps they upgraded the Comfort Gel a bit, so one can breath out of it.. lol.. jk jk..

cpap.com has reduced their price for this mask - $60 with one cushion and $66 with two cushions. So, the prices are now comparable to the rest of the Comfort series.

I looks comfortable, but does it have the same silicon seal over the gel cushion like the comfort gel? For some reason the silicon seal irritates my nose and feel hard on my face. I am using the old profile lite gel mask and it is comfortable, but the new fusion might work for me.

I wear a small in the comfort gel, so I assume a small in the new fusion would be the same? Any ideas?

Jeff
