what kind of pillow?

Post by retiredpete » Sat Dec 01, 2007 1:13 am

I am using a comfort lite 2 and my wife thinks I might not have the best head pillow to sleep on. Is there anyone out there who has found a bed pillow..be it feather, synthetic, memory foam or anything else that works well. Thank you in advace for any info you can send me...retired pete

I found that the Papillow works great for me. It's shaped so the mask just sorta hangs off the edge of the pillow.

I use a buckwheat husk pillow, it is small, easy to shape, doesn't get your head too hot in the summer, BUT it might be too noisy for some.

You will get lots of different opinions on which pillow is the best. Each of us is unique and what works for one -- isn't always the solution for the next one.

With that being said -- I use a king size memory foam pillow that I love.

I am a pillow freak--I LOVE new pillows and they have to super comfy!! NOT FLAT either. I found the perfect pillow at Costco. They are goose down filled and kind of expensive --but you will LOVE them!! You can fluff them up--punch them down --and get this--they are machine washable----. Go for it--you won't be sorry. I bought one in a king size and one queen ----my side of the bed is very high compared to my spouses. He loves the flat 20 dollar pillows (that is for 2!)-----so to each his own.

Good luck!!
Carrie

I've been using a Mediflow/Chiroflow water-based pillow for a number of years and like it very much.
Here are some threads for some pillows in general and that include other options. Another favorite pillow for many is the "Target Shapeable Pillow".

My favorite is a butterfly-shaped pillow from Linens and Things http://tinyurl.com/2lztvk
For a while, I kept 3 or 4 different pillows on the bed for switching out. Poor hubby had no room to sleep!
