New to CPAP and using the Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow System. What is an acceptable leak rate, or unacceptable with this mask? Also, when I wear the nasal pillows, the exhaust air that blows out the opposite side of the pillows is pretty strong. Is this normal for this mask? Thanks.

Here is a link to a chart showing leak rates for several masks (including the Swift II) at various pressures.

And, yes, it is normal for the exhaust to be strong.

Sometimes exsessive leaking can be caused by the slide bar being off just a bit. Make sure it it on completly centered.

Thanks guys. Love the "Leak Chart". I'm actually beating (lower than) the acceptable leakage, so I'm glad this does not appear to be my issue.
But man.... I'm using the ResMed Malibu unit and do not like this puppy. Its been over 1 month and have not achieved the excellent results achieved at my sleep study. Makes me wonder about this "new" model. Hopefully I will be able to try another brand. I sleep thru the night, mask stays on, but wake up tired. I'm pretty sure the Malibu is an evil machine.
