New to Forum - need help

I can't get a good night's sleep. Been diagnosed 3 years ago and can't find a comfortable mask. Anyone can recommend one or have any tips on how to live with this dreadful condition. I'm at the end of my rope.
Any advice is appreciated.

Please register and fill out your profile so we can see what type of machine, mask, and humidifier you are using.

What masks have you tried so far?

What is your pressure?

What other types of things have you done to make your treatment work.

Please click on the yellow lightbulb for more information and the red question mark and read those -- there is a wealth of knowledge there.

There is more knowledge on this board than most doctors or DME's have. We will try to help as much as possible.

Don't worry--you will get some help soon --you have come to the right place!! We all have gone thru what you are dealing with ---i am new to CPAP but have been able to sleep at least 6 or 7 hours now with my mask, machine, gear etc. etc. It does seem horrible at first ---but you will find something that works for you---I am on my 4th mask ----it is a great one for now but does not mean that something better might be out there....

Keep trying --you will get there!!

We really need to know the type of mask you're using. I think the Nasal Aire II is by far the most comfortable. However, my results with it haven't been great. I'm going to try a smaller size prongs to see if that helps, don't want to give up the comfort.
I have really gotten good results with the Optilife. Not quite as comfortable, but not bad either.
Do you have the software so you can see your results with various masks?
Do you breathe thru your mouth, which makes a huge difference? We really do need more info.

Welcome to the forum!!!! You have come to the right place for information and advice.

Please do as others have suggested and fill out your profile with machine, mask etc. so we have something to work with.
If you click on the Yellow Light bulb at the top of the page you will find all kinds of information on masks and modifications that folks have done to make them work for them.......masks are very individual and what works for me may not work for you.

Keep at it -- you'll get one that will work!!! We've all gone through what you're going through, so let us know how you're doing -- we're here to help!!!!

take care
cheers
