That was funny I can picture it now, instead of the baseball bat the cat would step on your cpap hose and cut your air off to wake you. .

Vadar, I LOVE it! I almost fell off my chair laughing. My cat does the meow, stare, paw my arm, meow...almost every morning for food! The longer I put it off, the louder she gets! Hasn't pulled out a baseball bat, though---Yet!

Hysterical!! Every once in a while I'll wake up in middle of night because I feel a slight heaviness on my chest. Just my 5.5 lb chihuahua who wants to play at 3am!!

We have a 16 pound cat, he doesn't need a bat. One good stomp to the
liver, or somewhere south of the waistline, will wake a person right up!!!
pressure....sweet 16

I will both lie down in peace and sleep. For you

my son sent me that one! Laughed my head off because except for the baeball bat it's true. If you have a cat you've been through this many times.

LOL! My cat just bites my cpap hose! He has ruined 2 hoses with teeth marks while I was sleeping just because he wants to eat. Now I have to sleep with 1 eye open.

With my cat I would never survive. That is why I lock him in the laundry room when I go to bed.

Because my cats care deeply for me, they have two main goals:

Trip me in the middle of the night, to speed my movement down the stairs so I can get to the restroom quicker.

Sit outside our bedroom and meow until we let them in, then just when I'm falling into a nice, deep, REM sleep, meow as they push against my face . . .

. . . That way I can remember how great it is to sleep now that I'm making use of a CPAP machine.

. . . And sometimes they break out their claws and attempt to add some extra ventilation to my mask, which hangs from my bedpost (all in the spirit of helping of course), so I've learned to move that out of their reach.

Ah! The gentle life of a cat owner.

That picture has been around for at least a few years. I've always been curious about its origins.

Cats eye

Post by djtowle » Tue Nov 20, 2007 4:03 am

Hah, thats great.

One of my old cats with BIG gold eyes, every morning for breakfast would silently get up on the bed, right next to my face, eyeball to eyeball, then reach over and pry my eyelid open with a paw. As my vision cleared I would see this Giant cat eye just millimeters away peering into my eye.
