I need serious help!!!

I used to use flex431 full face mask. I just got a new mask, which is the hybrid. Love the mask, however, after I have worn it in the morning I have a horrible earache on my right side. Its so bad I have had to stop wearing my mask completely. I went to the dr. there is no infection. I have not changed the pressure at all but could it be that the pressure is to high with the new mask?

Could it be that the hybrid is causing pressure on your jaw? I have TMJ and bruxism, sometimes I grind my teeth so bad that I wake with pain in my ear. Try using your old mask and see if the problem goes away. If it does you may be able to readjust the mask so it will be more comfortable. Make sure that the straps aren't putting too much pressure on the ear area.

I never thought of it pushing on my jaw, but it is definitely a different feel. But since I never gave the jaw a thought, it definitely seems to be painful more in the ear, but the jaw is also painful.

When my TMJ acts up it isn't so much the jaw that hurts, it's the ear that gives me pain. The hybrid may be making you hold your mouth and jaw differently causing the pain. If you stop using the hybrid for a week or so and the pain goes away, you know it's something with the mask.
