Pur-Sleep Feedback
Pur-Sleep Feedback
Night one
Product Guide: well done. It clearly explained everything I needed to get started using Pur-sleep. The Tips & troubleshooting section was a nice touch.
Packaging : Very good. Everything arrived in good condition.
The product appears to be top quality, (diffuser and diffuser pads.)
Oils: I tried to put one drop on the pad and got four. I don't know if it was me or bottle design. Tonight I'll be more careful.
I tried the Clear last night and while I didn't find it unpleasant I didn't care for it either. Tonight I will try Peace.
Overall, after one night, my impression is very good.

Cami, I put this on the other thread but I'd like to repeat my question/suggestion in this thread as well.
One of the common complaints about the product is that it's difficult to control how many drops are dispensed from the dropper cap bottle--just like you said! How about trying this and letting me know if it works better for you:
The second question is whether I need to throw away all of the Product Guides I have already printed in order to print a revised guide with these instructions . . . . Any thoughts on that point would be appreciated.

I would appreciate any feedback on this particular point. To dispense the essential oils, simply place a pad on top of the bottle, holding the pad against the bottle with your finger, and quickly invert the bottle/pad. That should dispense about 1 drop. Test for desired strength. Repeat as necessary to dispense more essential oils.

I used the Pur-Sleep for the first time last night. I did not have any trouble dispensing the product and held the pad next to the bottle and let the one drop kind of "slide" out of the bottle and quickly tilted the bottle upright. Worked great.
The scent was very pleasant -- cannot remember which one I used . I have severe allergies and was not a problem -- which I was afraid it might be. The scent was pleasant without being overwhelming and when I got up in the night the scent lingered and could still be smelled upon putting mask back on.
I really appreciate being in the trial. Will post more as I use the other scents.

SleepyGuy, this is the way I dispense the oil onto the pad
SleepyGuy, I hold the bottle in one hand, then I place the pad on top of the bottle while holding the pad down firmly , then I gently turn the bottle upside down and give it a quick shake, holding the pad tightly on top of the bottle, then quickly return the bottle to it's orginal upright position with the pad still being held securely on top of the bottle and it works perfect for me! I don't waste any at all. Hope that helps ! PS- I bought the deluxe starter kid and have tried them all. I love all of them except the "fresh", it's alright but i'm going to try it again tomorrow night as I think I accidentally put to much on the pad, this was the first oil I used out of the kit and had ever used them before, I wasn't familiar with that type of bottle with the little built in spout type thingy. The second night was fine, no problems dispensing it. MWe are still sleeping great with your product ( me and my husband ) , he dosen't have OSA and he loves it as much as I do, once again Thank You for making this great product
SleepyGuy, I think your directions for some people are a little confusing and should be stated a little more clearly and maybe with a little more detail such as: Twist open the cap, place the pad on top of the bottle while holding it firmly in place, give the bottle a quick shake. Return the bottle and pad to it's upright position. Repeat as desired. Place the cap back on the bottle tightly and store out of direct sunlight. Maybe these directions weren't what you we're looking for, it just seems to be the typical simple solution to directions GoodluckSleepGuy wrote:Cami, I put this on the other thread but I'd like to repeat my question/suggestion in this thread as well.

pur sleep trial
I have used the Pur-Sleep now for 2 nights. I really like the Peace and even got my husband to use it last night. We both seem to like them. The information was well presented and well written. I seemed to have problems with the dispensers also and got more than 1 drop also. Never thought about putting the pad on top of the bottle and turning it upside down. DUH! Will try that tonight. Thanks for the product, I think you have a new lamb in the fold!
Re: Pur-Sleep Feedback
The product guide was well done very easy to follow directions. I did notice on the pads though that the two sides are different one is solid blue the other has kind of white and blue mixed. Does it matter which side you use. It looked like it was the whitish side up so thats what I went with. Could have been more clear on that but it was minor no big deal. The one thing I had problems with as well was dispensing the product. I just turned it over assuming it would trickle out instead it poured out. Might put a warning in the literature that it does not trickle slowly. Once I figured out how fast it pours it was easy to just tilt it slightly and let it trickle out.
As for the packing everything was very well done product arrived with no damage. Everything also looks very professional and well made. The diffuser does not look like junk at all and looks very well made and high quality. Same goes for the diffuser pads very professionally done and of high quality no cheap substitutes for quality material.
As for the oils I love peace and clear is like chewing a pack of wrigleys spearmint gum.
Both were very soothing and did indeed help me fall asleep and stay asleep. I still woke up a few times throughout the night but fell back asleep much faster than usual. This also didn't happen as frequently as usual. I'd say this was a success. The spice I didn't care much for but thats probably an individual thing. It was just a little overpowering for me and something about it was slightly irritating. Once again this is probably an individual thing and not a refelection on the product by no means did it smell disgusting or weird, it just wasn't for me. I've always been kind of sensitive to strong perfumes and suffer from allergies. This one just seemed a bit overpowering.
I've tried for 3 nights so far and am very pleased I would definitely buy this out of pocket. I agree with one of the oher posters though you should be able to choose your 3 scents the ones included I'm sure aren't right for everyone. This would be one of those things that depend on someones individual taste not a one size fits all. I am very impressed with the product. Thanks for letting me try it out.

second night
The second night was much better. I followed directions and only put two drops on the pad and moved it further from the air intake. Peace, very pleasent, much better than Clear, (for me.) Went 5 hours before waking up with a leak, and thats very good for me.
Your documentation is top notch and I would not redo it. Even me, a typical do it wrong then read the directions guy, would have succeeded by night three.

Thanks all. I am thinking about printing up a small new insert that I can include in the packaging. That way I don't have to throw away all of the Product Guides! How about something like this:
It makes no difference which side of the pad is used; I used different fabrics just for looks....Tips & Tricks: Essential Oil Dispensing
To use essential oils, twist open the cap, place one pad (either side) on top of the bottle and while holding it firmly in place quickly invert the bottle/pad and return it to its upright position. A quick shake might also do the trick. Test for strength. Repeat as desired. Replace the cap tightly and store out of direct sunlight and away from heat.
Store scented pads in small zip-lock bags. Write the name of the aroma on the bag and re-use the same pads with the same aroma. It is not necessary to wash the pads.
Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.
