inflatabale

Post by Kharris » Tue Oct 23, 2007 2:44 pm

Back when I worked in emergency medical as a volunteer first responder,
we were required to carry a mask for rescue breathing and cpr. They were
full face masks with an inflatable seal around the edge. they would seal
even when wet, and and didn't seem to take a lot of pressure to keep the
seal.
Does anybody make a cpap mask like this. or is this an idea I should
patent?

pressure....sweet 16

Patent that sucker and get back to us with some prototype ASAP ... I'll take one thanks.

Actually I think ResMeds Active sounds like what you describe except it is nasal cushion, not a full face ... and they did not carry the design to their new full face Quattro I don't think.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Face masks like the one you describe are used all the time in the anesthesia world. Most of them are made of silicone now but they used to be made of rubber. There are many different styles of these masks used by anesthesiologists. I don't know how well they would do for CPAP. Usually they need to be held on pretty tight if there's any positive pressure involved. They may seal well, but I think that's only meant for a short time. To have that kind of mask strapped on all night long might be uncomfortable. ResMed has gone a pretty long ways to invent the seal on their mask that inflates itself so that it can rest very lightly on the face and still seal well.

Ah! The creative genius that's on this board.

Once we get our treatment progressing, and the fog begins to lift, watch out!

Ye old gears are turning again.

Patent that thing and offer it for sale! You already have a great customer base.

Soon you'll be CPAPing on sunny beaches in Cancun.

Yeah, if they were available to Emergency Responders they were patented. How else would they have been manufactured and available to them??
