Hi everyone, I have been alternating between Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow and the Comfort Gel nasal mask for the last few weeks. I prefer the nasal mask to the nasal pillow and am trying to find a mask that will fit me better. My pressure is 11. I printed out a sizing guide from the Comfort Gel website and ordered a small. Even though it doesn't feel uncomfortable to me I get some pretty bad red marks on the bridge of my nose and the sides.
I recently used the sizing calculator on this site and the Comfort Gel isn't recommended for me. From the looks of the sizes of the nasal masks that are recommended for me I guess I have a bigger nose than I thought.
I would appreciate it if any of you that have used any of these masks could just give me your thoughts about them, maybe it could help me decide which one to try. I know it all varies but I would still like any first-hand info. I sleep on my back because of shoulder problems and I am a very still sleeper. Thanks for any help.

Any First-Hand Info On Some Masks I'm Thinking Of Would Help
get your mask too small and it will dig in and leave a red mark, that is because it rides down on the bridge of the nose vs sitting the dip which aligns with the center of the pupil of the eyes.
So if your mask is fitting you properly, it should land at the center of the eyes (pupils) at the top and ride comfortably at the bottom on the upper lip.
headgear and the tug of the hose seems to pull down on a mask no matter what the size, so it is best to get it properly fit. Measuring with a ruler in a mirror is still the best way to get the right size.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...
Thanks snoredog, I didn't realize the top of the mask should have been hitting higher, makes sense.
Does anyone have any comments about any of these four masks that were recommended for me? Anything you liked or disliked about them? Thanks.

Well, my experience with the sizing guide is that it didn't recommend a mask which I'd used for some time and that was pretty good, and did recommend 1-2 that weren't, so I wouldn't put too much stock in it (flat paper can't account for all kinds of factors when you personally lie down, on your pillow, with particular muscles, etc. coming into play (vs others you have) due to comfort, tension, etc. depending on a given mask, and really the only way to tell is to try one on for at least a few nights (and sometimes that seems to be fine, then 3 wks later goes 'bad' for good!

I have used the UMII nasal standard size successfully for over a year now. Have also used the activa with success. Started on the medium comfortgel, but had sore bridge of nose issues if I used it for more that three days in a row. If you end up getting the UMII large and that does not work, I believe you only need to order a different size cushion as it will fit the frame (not sure on this though), so you may not have to buy a whole new mask if one size does not work.
