Heating a pass through humidifier

Post by mikemoran » Tue May 17, 2005 7:45 am

Since I have been having problems with the cold air blowing from my cpap I was thinking about putting warm water in my pass through humidifier as a temporary solution until my heated one comes. I know it won't last all night but I think it might ease me into sleep.

Has anyone tried this? Will it damage my cpap?

I have a ResMed S7.

Thanks,

Try setting it on a heating pad.

I have a nice 20'' by 20" wood board (with rims) that I set my CPAP on--with the ambient temperature humidifier next to the CPAP. I know some people put their CPAP on top of the heater, but I prefer the side by side arrangement. A heating pad under the humifier sounds like the ticket--why didn't I think about this before getting the big bucks heated humifier that I am just starting to use??? (So far I haven't seen a difference)
