No worries everson.
It's surprisingly easy.
You'll get through it fine.

Rested Gal - and others - I really appreciate your comments regarding the effectiveness of nasal pillows.

I took the ComfortGel mask by respironics and after two nights only, my nose bridge is hurting, swelling and red. Tell me about confort!! I can't imagine how it's gonna be after a month

I think I'll follow your advices and get the nasal pillows anyway. At least, that should give a break to my nose. I know it takes time before finding ther mask or other similar device that will work best for us.

Thanks Green Ice for the information and link for the ComfortCurve. I had not seen yet that model.

I also appreciate your positive comment Echo!

Boy, what an adventure this whole thing is! arrrgh

i was titrated with an f&p nasal mask, can't recall which one but i tried 3 different sizes of it before giving up on it...i couldn't get a good seal (i think my chubby cheeks were the culprit) and i would get a pressure sore on the bridge of my nose almost immediately, plus i have sensitive skin and my rosacea would flare up using nasal masks

i've used nasal pillows since my 2nd month and i've tried the comfortlite, the comfortlite2, the breeze and the aura, which is what i use now; my dme couldn't get the aura for me so it wasn't covered by my insurance, so each time i'm eligible i try something new ...each of these was more comfortable for me than the nasal mask; they may just require different tweaks and fixes to make them work, and of course rested gal and others have paved that road for the rest of us!

there is of course the issue of mouth breathing (but that could happen with nasal masks, too) and there are also ways of taking that out of the equation

good luck trying different interfaces...one of them will be the one for you
