In my case, it takes me about a half hour to fall asleep. I know during this time that I am not leaking out the mask nor my mouth. That first 1/2 hour or so is a nice straight line and is what your night would look like without leaks. So compare the line for when you were still awake versus when you were sleeping to see the difference.
