Aimee, my daughter, had to have another ultrasound today...she was having some cramping, and it may be due to a urinary tract infection, but her cervix is softening, so the baby may be a bit on the early side...so she had to have an ultrasound to check on the baby's well being...and the baby is fine...

guys--I know that may be TMI--sorry

But...the amazing thing is--the baby has such thick curly hair we could actually see it on the ultrasound!!!!!! If you go to my blog, there is a pic of the ultrasound of her hair, and I explain how to see the hair... I have NEVER seen hair on an ultrasound before. Aimee and I can't wait to see what the baby looks like. But--we hope we get to wait for at least a few more weeks yet. We are relieved that all is well, and seeing all that hair was a great stress reliever for us!!

Aww a baby girl with a head full of curls. She will be a cutie pie. I hope they get the UTI under control and baby girl goes to term. Do they have your daughter on bedrest? My eldest was due on Christmas day and came before Thanksgiving. He was tiny 4 lb 6 oz, but all was well and he never lost weight like most infants do after birth. He just continued to gain and do well. I hope you have a happy, healthy, granddaughter with her beautiful locks. Hope Mom feels better and has an easy labor and delivery when baby says it is time.

I'll second that bedrest...
I was due at Christmas also but my birthday is the 18th of this month.
We were blessed. It was two months in the hospital before I was
big enough to come home but no lasting effects to my health that I
am aware of.
