Mine goes to 11 !

Post by Flying_Norseman » Fri Oct 05, 2007 6:35 am

I moved my pressure from 10 to 11 last night because I hadn't been able to get my AHI below 3 for a week and it averaged closer to 7. I don't know what the AHI was last night because it takes a while for the machine to display the updated numbers, but I feel the best this morning since I started CPAP a little over a month ago.

Glad to hear that! We'll be waiting to hear some numbers.....

(however, in the non-data-monitoring world of the doctors, it's determined by "how you feel".)

Yeah I hear that. I am waiting to get my card reader so I can do some serious data analysis. I basically take the seven day average from my read out and perform a simple algebraic equation on it to get my number each day.

I am still getting used to not being tired throughout the day. I keep expecting to be hit by tiredness during the day, but I am not tired until late at night when I should be even with only 6 hours of sleep.

I've heard so many men say that I just can't measure nothin' right anymore...

Oh wait... were yout talking about your machine?

And I hope you can muster the appropriate fakey British Christopher Guest accent when you say that....

BTW, mine goes to 12... That's one louder....

I just want to go back to sleep!

Ok, my AHI was 3.8 today so that isn't stellar, but it is a lot better than the 14.4 and 12.2 I had last week. I can't wait to get the USB card reader so I can pinpoint if I am having issues at certain times of the night. I also laid awake for about 45 minutes this morning with the mask on trying to fall back asleep. I don't think that duration of time would skew the numbers that much.
