Question about comforlite 2

Post by Susanm » Mon Oct 01, 2007 3:49 pm

I just received my new Comfortlite 2 from our dear hosts and I have it all assembled. My problem is that it says to attach it to my cpap hose ... but cpap hose end is NOTHING like what would be needed to hook to this mask. I'm currently using a UMFF, and the connector for it is hard plastic with a little quick connect ring. There is a rubber connector about 2 inches down, which looks like it would work, but it seems to be non-moveable. Any suggestions? I have 0 mask/hose issue experience.

Thanks,
Susan

Susan, does your ComfortLite 2 have a short hose (about 6 inches long) ending in swivel elbow thingy? That short hose goes up in front of your forehead and over the top of your head in front. There should be a little white velcro strap to secure the swivel elbow end of the short hose to the headgear on top of your head. The rubber cuff of your main air hose attaches to the swivel elbow.

Best to rig up a way to suspend the main air hose up over your head so that the main air hose doesn't get in your way when you turn over, or tug on the mask's headgear. Think of being like a fish on the end of a slack line, able to toss and turn freely underneath the main air hose.

Ok, thanks a lot RG, I think I might have it licked. I'm glad to know it's a good mask ... seemed like I could side sleep in it pretty comfortably. Is it wrong to be so excited about trying new cpap equipment?

oh i used to love my CL2...used it every night until my septoplasty, then after i went back on the hose it never worked for me again
maybe i should pull it out and give it another shot
it's a nice interface, esp. since it has so many ways to adjust it to fit...hope it works for you, susan
